Casey Kauffmann is a Los Angeles–based interdisciplinary artist whose work explores femme identity, digital excess, and the performance of self in online culture. Through dense collages of low-resolution images, GIFs, and reality TV fragments, her practice reclaims the emotional intensity and chaotic abundance of internet ephemera. Kauffmann’s long-running Instagram project @uncannysfvalley and her video installations transform “poor images” into maximalist, uncanny landscapes that blur irony and sincerity. At GOGBOT, selected works from Kauffmann highlight the compulsive, mesmerizing pull of meme culture, embracing digital “brainrot” as both critique and celebration of contemporary life.
