GJORGJI DESPODOV - DOOM SCROLL REHAB
Doom Scroll Rehab: Cache Cleanse is a multisensory installation that invites visitors to leave their phones and algorithmic dependencies at the door and step into a near-future world where the collective consciousness suffers from Brain Rot—a condition caused by chronic overconsumption of low-effort, high-repeat media. This immersive experience is part-therapy center, part-delulu chamber, and part-speculative design proposal, offering community whisperers, anti-doom scrolling slime stations, and mood-based rituals. Meditation becomes a gently whispered "shhhh, swipe away," and therapy transforms into soft affirmations like "you are basically chronically chill." Cache Cleanse is not a product or solution—it is a provocotype, a prosthetic for the critical mind that stretches our imagination about care, attention, and content detox in a world that can’t unplug, encouraging reflection on why we feel the need to be saved in the first place.
