Close Enough (2026)

Ahnjili explores the contradiction of drone surveillance: close enough to watch private life, yet far enough to act without consequence. Using autonomous drones, computer vision, and language of military intelligence, the installation turns visitors into subjects placing them in the uneasy position of recognising themselves long before they realise they are being watched.

Ahnjili ZhuParris (NL/USA), is a computational artist, AI engineer, and media researcher whose works examine how bodies are measured, optimized, and represented by AI systems. She takes existing, already deployed AI systems and places them in new contexts, asking whether and when these systems should be applied at all. Alongside her art practice, she builds computer vision systems professionally and researches online media.
